Experts estimate that 1 in 91 children will be diagnosed with autism this year. Imagine a world where every one of these kids can get the therapy and services they need. Autism Deserves Equal Coverage (ADEC) advocates can work with you and help you find the help your child needs.
What We Do
We advocate and work with providers, families, therapists, ABA agencies, Regional Centers and other organizations in securing insurance to cover medically necessary treatments for autism, including ABA, Speech, OT, PT, Social Skills, and Evaluations.
We negotiate with Medicaid, health plans, insurance companies, and state and federal regulators to fund services for autism spectrum disorder.
We take on the work so that families and providers can focus on Caring for children.

Giving Tuesday - #GivingTuesday - December 1, 2015 is Giving Tuesday. Please consider a donation
It has been just over a year since more than 75,000 children with autism, who are Medi-Cal beneficiaries, theoretically received access to the standard-of-care behavioral health treatment for the first time. However o
nly 2800 children have been able to access this benefit as of September, 2015, so there is much work still to be done. $500 provides comprehensive insurance consultation for 1 family. $1000 funds an insurance presentation/webinar to educate 50 families how to access care. $3000 purchases health plan for a child for one year to cover treatment of up to $70,000. Any amount can help!
Please consider a donation on#Giving Tuesday day so ADEC Foundation can complete implementation of this benefit. California's most vulnerable kids need this life-changing treatment
Autism Deserves Equal Coverage Foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)3 charity. We survive on donations to be able to do the work we do for Californians with autism spectrum disorders. Please consider a donation to help us continue our important work, especially assisting low income families on Medi-Cal to access the newly available behavioral health benefit.. Donations are tax deductible.
