Experts estimate that 1 in 91 children will be diagnosed with autism this year. Imagine a world where every one of these kids can get the therapy and services they need.  Autism Deserves Equal Coverage (ADEC) advocates can work with you and help you find the help your child needs.

What We Do
We advocate and work with providers, families, therapists, ABA agencies, Regional Centers and other organizations in securing insurance to cover medically necessary treatments for autism, including ABA, Speech, OT, PT, Social Skills, and Evaluations.

We negotiate with health plans, insurance companies, and state and federal regulators to fund services for autism spectrum disorder.

We take on the work so that families and providers can focus on what they do best: Caring for children.

How We Can Help You
Autism Deserves Equal Coverage have a proven success rate in getting services covered and have won many families multiple hours of services for ABA, Speech and OT.

We have secured coverage and helped providers
get in-network with the following carriers: Blue Shield, Kaiser, Aetna, Pacifi
Care, United Behavior Health, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Magellan Health Services and many others.

Silicon Valley Gives - #SVGives - May 5 is SVGives. Please consider a donation

In September 2014, more than 75,000 children with autism, who are Medi-Cal beneficiaries, got access to the standard-of-care behavioral health treatment for the first time.  ADEC Foundation's Kristin Jacobson led the effort to secure this essential coverage and was awarded a national advocate-of-the-year award by Autism Speaks.

Only 900 children have been able to access this benefit as of April 2015, so there is much work still to be done. Please consider a donation on #SVGives day so ADEC Foundation can complete implementation of this benefit. California's most vulnerable kids need this life-changing treatment.

Autism Deserves Equal Coverage Foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)3 charity. We survive on donations to be able to do the work we do for Californians with autism spectrum disorders. Please consider a donation to help us continue our important work, especially assisting low income families on Medi-Cal to access the newly available behavioral health benefit.. Donations are tax deductible.
